Islamabad is the city of dreams, the second most beautiful capital of the world! The city, which is known for the extravagant view of Margalla Hills, the Lush Green Belts and the Well Planned Residential areas.

Many of us have at least once dreamt of living in Islamabad, but affordability comes out as one of the major issues then. In order to cater to the affordability issues, numerous housing schemes have been launched in the past few years. Although a large number has been given the “Illegal” status, some are too expensive for a normal man’s pocket and some are poorly planned.

Here is a list according to what we think are the best, the most affordable and ideally planned housing schemes nearing the beautiful city of Islamabad.

Gulberg Residencia

Gulberg Islamabad is an ideally located housing scheme amidst the twin cities. Gulberg Islamabad is a project of Intelligence Bureau Employees Cooperative Housing Society also known as IBECHS Islamabad. Its master plan includes two projects, Gulberg Greens and the Gulberg Residencia.

Gulberg Residencia offers the residential plots ranging from 200 square yards to 1000 square yards. Gulberg Greens and Gulberg Residencia are linked via a 220 feet wide Gulberg Expressway, having a link bridge which is still under construction. Gulberg Residencia is located 7km off the Main Islamabad Expressway.

Ghauri Town

Ghauri Town is a project by Raja Ali Akbar and Chaudhary Abdur Rehman Company and is located at a close distance from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport. Ghauri Town has a total of 7 phases, Phase 7 being the newly launched one, undergoing development work. Plots in Phase 7 of Ghauri Town are currently at their lowest rates. The commercial area is at the 10 minutes’ distance from all the 7 phases. Phase-7 is also comparatively different as compared to the rest phases in regards to the location and facilities. It has its separate entrance and offers wide roads with residential and commercial plots at the most ideal locations.

Bahria Orchard Residential

Bahria Town Rawalpindi started Bahria Orchard in its Phase 8. Bahria Orchard will be located near the new (under construction) international theme park and is expected to be a success for Bahria Town Rawalpindi as Bahria Orchard will connect Bahria Town Rawalpindi with the Rawalpindi Ring Road.

Bahria Orchard is the only project in Bahria Town Rawalpindi that has been planned to have an environment-friendly atmosphere, surrounded by a green belt.
