RDA Announced Action Against Illegal Housing Schemes

Three days ago, Commissioner Rawalpindi Development Authority, Mr. Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary announced that a massive operation against the illegal housing projects will be launched soon.

In a press conference recently, the concerned department informed the media that an action against the illegal and unauthorized housing societies has been approved and all set to launch in the coming days. They advised the public to refrain from investing in these housing societies on both the residential and commercial basis and advised them to look for the approved NOC’s from where ever they are investing.

A number of 43 housing schemes were highlighted by the RDA official that fall under its jurisdiction and have obtained NOC from RDA, whereas 31 housing schemes are operating illegally without having any NOC. The official considered it to be in their best interest and avoid investing in such illegal schemes.

List of legal housing schemes under the jurisdiction of RDA:

In answer to a question, the officials informed that RDA has also apprised the public through newspaper advertisements the status of the housing schemes under its jurisdiction. The citizens can also check online details of all the housing schemes on RDA’s website, he added.
