According to a news report, sector F-10 becomes the first ever LED-lit sector in Islamabad.
The local councilor initiated and completed the difficult and expensive task. In the past, the project had faced delays because of the newly formed Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad(MCI) lacked funding. Power consumption by the street will be expected to reduce from 22 KW to 11 KW. After a long time, residents will get a chance to live on LED-lit streets and due to this reason, they are very excited.
This is a great initiative and will help to reduce power consumption while also not compromising on the city’s lighting. MCI is expected to replicate this project for other sectors as well.
